1. About the ArtMedica Project – Medical Clinic
ArtMedica is a top clinic in Brașov, specializing in dermatology, dermato-esthetics, plastic surgery and laser treatments. It offers a full range of modern procedures, customized to the needs of each patient.
Their website is built using WordPress, and their goal was to exponentially increase the visibility of their brand, as well as the visibility of the services offered.
2. What have we implemented for ArtMedica?
Applying a long-term SEO strategy
We developed a long-term SEO plan, the main focus being on: Local SEO, On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO. Our collaboration with the ArtMedica clinic is still ongoing.
Technical implementations in WordPress
After performing the technical audit, we started to fix the problems found and optimize the upload speed. I did the implementations in WordPress (the CMS used by ArtMedica).
Creating new content (landing pages and blog posts)
We created an editorial calendar with relevant organic topics for the clinic’s niche. For each topic we created content drafts, which were then sent to a medical content writer.
Technical audit for the website
- For this technical audit we used Screaming Frog and Ahrefs.
- We didn’t identify any major technical issues, and focused more on optimizing speed and Core Web Vitals metrics.
- We developed and implemented more complex schema structures for existing page types.
- We used some key plugins for implementations, and collaborated with a team of developers for some design changes.
Off-Page SEO and link building
- We started to create foundational backlinks on websites such as: reviews, social media, directories, etc.
- After I had a base of indexed backlinks, I moved on to publishing advertorials on relevant websites. We used the WhitePress platform for the research and publishing part of the advertorials.
- We also used the Disavow function, and uploaded a list of spammy domains.
SEO On Page optimization
- Keyword research & mapping: using the data from Google Search Console and Ahrefs we created a database with relevant keywords that we used to optimize the existing content, but also to create new content (new categories, blog articles , etc.)
- Competitor Analysis: We conducted a detailed competitor analysis to identify opportunities we can capitalize on.
- SEO Tags: We optimized the Meta Titles & Meta Descriptions so that they contain relevant and contextual keywords for the page.
- Headings: We optimized the Headings elements so that there is/follows a clear and semantic hierarchy.
- Content: We came up with an editorial plan for creating new blog posts and landing pages.
- Schema: We added more structured data elements via the RankMath plugin.
Local SEO strategy
- We optimized the clinic’s Google Business Profile (GBP) and added the most contextual and relevant information.
- We used UTM parameters to do more detailed tracking of the traffic coming from GBP.
- I have completed the Local Business scheme on the website in as much detail as possible, the goal being the clearest possible understanding of this data by the algorithm.
- On-Page SEO optimizations are mostly done to have rankings for local searches.
- I registered the website also on directory domains, where the location and contact information of the clinic is present.
